Sale of Precision Aerospace Component Manufacturer

Hornblower is delighted to announce the successful sale of a long-established manufacturer of bespoke aerospace components, marking the culmination of over five decades of excellence in precision engineering for the aviation aftersales market.

Operating from a purpose-built facility, the company has built an enviable reputation for delivering high-specification aircraft parts –  including actuation unit components, fuel system valves, nozzles, sleeves, and prismatics – underpinned by rigorous traceability and full inspection reporting. Accredited to ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards, the business has consistently met the demanding requirements of the aerospace sector.

The company’s direct supplier status with leading blue-chip aviation firms, along with relationships exceeding ten years, reflects its proven ability to reduce lead times and deliver superior-quality components. With an active order book valued at approximately £1.4 million and confirmed projects into 2026, the business offered immediate value and future pipeline stability to the acquiring party.

The sale also transfers a highly skilled technical workforce, comprised of experienced machinists, tooling designers and programmers whose deep operational knowledge ensures continuity and quality post-acquisition. A clear succession plan was in place, securing leadership transition and long-term sustainability, and allowing a relatively short handover period of 6 months before the seller takes his well-earned retirement.

Hornblower is proud to have managed this transaction to a successful conclusion, offering a strong strategic outcome for both seller and buyer.

The deal was completed in July 2025 and overseen by our Business Sales & Acquisitions Consultant, Mark Sykes.
