Sale of Injection Moulding Specialist

Injection Moulding Specialist Purchased by Award-Winning Company

As reported recently in industry publication Interplas Insights, Sabre Plastic Mouldings Ltd - an injection moulding business represented by Hornblower has been acquired by Hi-Technology Group Limited, a leader in the field of plastic injection moulding and part of the Buckland Group of companies.

Based in Letchworth in Hertfordshire, Sabre Plastic Mouldings had built a 20-year trading record, providing technical injection moulding services for clients across the Medical and Building industries. The company’s range of Injection Moulding services include Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Injection Moulding, Technical Injection Moulding, and White goods Injection Moulding. The company also provides Ultrasonic Welding Services.

Sabre has established a solid and mature client base across the UK, which includes a considerable roster of clients in the innovative centres of Oxford and Cambridge. The company also has a range of technological partnerships with prominent manufacturing companies in Europe and the United States. Sabre has the advantage of an experienced and technically skilled team of staff, many of whom have worked with the company for more than 10 years.

The post-sale arrangement will be advantageous to the employees of both companies, with plans for Sabre’s current Director to remain at the helm to ensure a smooth transition. The acquirer, Hi-Tech which operates in similar markets to Sabre considers this purchase as a highly complimentary move to the growth of its business, as observed by Neil Sibley, who stated, “I am delighted with the acquisition of Sabre, they have some innovative solutions, a complimentary range of customers and products, and are a really good fit with Hi-Tech.”

The timeline from initial marketing to completion was a 6-month period, where Hornblower worked closely with the Directors of Sabre to assess interested potential acquirers. The deal completed in March 2024 and was managed by Hornblower’s International M&A Director & Business Sales and Acquisitions Consultant, Mark Sykes. Mark manages business sales for Hornblower from our Nottingham office.

We are always delighted to receive positive feedback from our clients: “Mark, Thank you so much, we really do appreciate your help and hard work getting this over the line.” Robin S.
